Makeup: Ok maybe I’m not totally lost

Yesterday I posted about how I’m lost about makeup. And now I must admit that I am perhaps a bit more adept than I had considered. Being somewhat humble with a bit of bragging.

I went and picked up a primer, blush, and matte locking powder on sale. Then went home and took 20 minutes and did beard and bags under eyes corrector, a liquid and powder foundation, some highlights and contrast, some blush, eye shadow, lipstick, mascara, and locking finishing powder. Now the results aren’t perfect but given I’m on a quest for the everyday at the office type look I think I got pretty close. Maybe I was made for this afterall. Not that makeup is an inherent trait for women, but you know what I mean.

This may seem strange but getting adept at makeup makes me feel more like I can do this also being a woman thing. That maybe while I’ll never pass as a woman I can look good enough people will reasonably accept it. And that I will be able to more easily delineate between the man and the woman.

Not perfect but 20 minutes is pretty good

  1. I think you have done a fine job. You have softened things up quite a bit and have added an even patina to your face. If you were looking for an everyday shopping or office look I think you have nailed it. Practice does improve things but I would say you have the basics down.

I love to hear from people who read my blog, even if your not in agreement with me. Your comments may spur me on to write something else so please comment.
