Well it’s Halloween in the year of 2020 and honestly none of us can possibly guess what is coming up from this. In the weeks following thanksgiving here in Canada the Covid-19 numbers spiked, I am sure we can all guess why. And halloween is going to be weird with trick or treating in some places called off. Where I am we are supposed to wear a mask and use tongs to hand out candy, which we will do because pandemic.
But to the meat of the deal. Once you get a bit older Halloween is no longer about trick or treating but costume parties and as someone on twitter pointed out yesterday is a common place for people to experiment with gender. After all Halloween is a crossdressers ideal holiday. I think back to 8 years ago where I went out dressed on Halloween and the rush and excitement I felt being out in a dress see here for the before, here, here, and here with the aftermath here. It was fantastic and it is a shame that many people won’t get that feeling this year.
For me this was the first year that I would have been able to not be crossdressing but actually choosing a female costume if I so decided and no fears of being too good at it. I was rather looking forward to potentially doing that but it appears that may be waiting another year.
That’s it today. Be safe and enjoy the evening.
